Educate…

Central Florida Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, college preparatory program serving grades Pre-K through 12. All of our faculty are degreed in their field and participate in ongoing professional development. Our student-centered curriculum is age-appropriate yet challenging, offering diversified instruction, advanced track, AP classes and college placement.

We aim to provide every child with a diverse, safe and caring environment in which to learn, grow, play, explore and discover. We foster their problem solving and critical thinking skills, creativity and curiosity, good study habits and appreciation of their American and Christian heritage, molding them into the independent Christian-thinkers of tomorrow. And the proof of our merits is in the numbers:

  • Eighteen 2011 graduates were awarded over $1.6 million in college scholarships
  • A 2010 CFCA graduate received a three year Army ROTC scholarship to The Citadel
  • Over 50% of 4th-8th grade students have been identified as DukeTIP recipients
  • CFCA students have increased reading and math scores by an average of 12% on standardized test results since 2008.

Inspire…

We believe in educating the “whole child,” developing our students’ unique, God-given talents beyond the scope of the classroom and encouraging them to use those talents to positively impact their community. One hundred percent of our staff support students’ activities outside of daily classroom instruction. And there are many. Over 70% of upper school students participate in athletics, and over 60% in Fine Arts in programs such as:

  • Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Basketball (Boys and Girls), Baseball, Softball, Track
  • Fine Arts Productions (such as, Christmas Letter, Oklahoma, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.)
  • Step Team, Ballet, Worship Team, Public Speaking
  • Art Club, Poetry Club, Spanish Club, Student Government, Student Leadership Institute

Students frequently give back to the community, going on mission trips to locations as far-flung as China, Costa Rica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, as well as a little closer to home: New York City and the Florida Keys. They have also participated in various community service projects, including:

  • Assisting Harvest Food Bank
  • Assisting local widows with yard work
  • Collecting over 1,000 shoeboxes for New Missions
  • Serving at local retirement homes
  • Serving at the Orlando Rescue Mission

Equip…

Central Florida Christian Academy is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Central Florida, and God’s Word is the cornerstone of the Kingdom education we provide. We partner with parents and the church to train children to realize their potential as creations of God. We believe in teaching by example, requiring all teachers and staff to be committed, born-again Christians and seek to maintain a Christ-centered, Spirit-controlled, Bible-based environment. Discipline is developed within the framework of Biblical principles, including emphasis on love of country and respect for others. We’re confident this philosophy provides for the optimum spiritual, academic, social and physical development of our pupils.
