Lower School

The Lower School at Central Florida Christian Academy provides a nurturing environment and a challenging program for children from Pre-Kindergarten to sixth grade. The school focuses on the total child by recognizing that the visual arts, performing arts, physical education and technology are important and complement language arts and math. The teachers encourage creativity, critical thinking and problem solving as they guide students through attainment of the content requirements. Composition focus across the grade levels and subject areas establishes a firm foundation for upper level research and essay requirements while expressive arts, theatrical productions, and small group and/or individual research presentations within classrooms build competence and confidence in oral expression. Team orientation in every classroom is intentional. Children become compassionate, respectful, thoughtful class members who value each other and learn from their peers. Every grade level’s learning expectations and strategies are appropriate to grade level learning standards, and individual achievement and ability levels. In theLowerSchool, parents and teachers work together on behalf of the children to maximize their learning and development.
