Academics

General Academic Philosophy

Central Florida Christian School’s mission focus, Educate, Inspire and Equip, encourages individual development in students by encouraging them to learn, to serve, and to participate in the varied growth-promoting opportunities at the school. Through a shared commitment to the school’s twin pillars, Academic Excellence and Spiritual Integrity, the school provides a strong sense of purpose which values teaching and celebrates learning. CFCA promotes a balanced learning environment that is traditional in design, but innovative in implementation. Intellectual development is advanced through requiring higher level thinking and providing relevant learning experiences in all areas of study. In partnership with parents, the CFCA faculty and administration work closely with each student. Active learning strategies stretch students’ capabilities, engage their varied talents, and add relevance for future reference and use. Each day the CFCA campus is energized by the excitement of students learning. The dedicated teachers and the supportive school community are all centered on the success of each child’s educational and spiritual journey. Through coordination among the divisions, the CFCA curriculum is designed so that each successive grade adds to the students’ mastery of skill and continued growth and development. Through the leadership of the school divisions, the headmaster and the assistant headmaster of academics, the curriculum is constantly reviewed and refined to ensure the best possible opportunities for CFCA students. The academic program prepares CFCA students to succeed in college and in life with a lifelong love of learning and of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
